I cannot begin to say how impressed and how amazing Kelly at Ashdown in belvedere was when my dad Derek passed away..Friendly,professional,
understanding, reassuring & fantastic advice and always there when you needed advice or guidance during these upsetting times..She put a smile on my face and my dad's partner who Kelly in my opinion went above and beyond her duty in comforting my dad's partner and organising things .I can't thank Kelly and Ashdown for everything they did,words can't describe how pleased the whole family was with my dad's funeral and what Kelly did for us all..

A few months ago (July 2025), my family and I used Ashdown’s services to bury my mother (rest in peace). From the moment we met Kelly and spoke to her several times on the phone she was a guiding light through a difficult period.

She was down to earth, honest, worked with integrity and was personable throughout. Our family had never organised a funeral before, but Kelly and her team were key in demystifying the whole process.

We would also like to shout-out Bill, who acted as the funeral director on the day of the funeral. He and all the pallbearers were phenomenal. I would also like to thank Lewis who drove me and my family to and from the funeral location on the day.

Honestly, everyone at Ashdown’s were personable and unstuffy which is just what my family and I needed. You could tell that this wasn’t just “another job” for them, they truly cared about our and our loved one’s experience with them.

Would just like to thank and highly recommend everyone at Ashdown Funeral Services at Sidcup. Especially Claire for being so supportive and caring, and for going above and beyond with making my dad’s funeral so special for our family.
Every request my mum had for my dad’s day was met from the horses and carriage, to the bag pipe player, to Claire’s recommendation of celebrant David Matthews, who performed a wonderful service for us. Even all the pallbearers and drivers that day all played their part in giving my dad the send off he deserved.
Being Such a difficult day for our family but just made that bit easier with everything you all did for us, thank you.

We recently entrusted Ashdown Funeral Services with my dad’s funeral, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care and professionalism they provided throughout.

From our first interaction, Claire was simply wonderful—empathetic, kind, thoughtful, and thoroughly professional. She was always incredibly responsive and on top of every detail, which meant there was nothing for us to worry about during an already difficult time. Claire showed great flexibility, helping us tailor the service exactly how we wanted and within our budget. It was clear that she truly cared, and knowing she’s also a bereavement counsellor who kindly offered support to my mum meant the world to us.

On the day of the funeral, everything was handled with such grace and compassion. Bill, the funeral director, was excellent—calm, respectful, and quietly reassuring. Frank, the driver, along with Claire’s son Lewis and the rest of the team were equally kind, respectful, and supportive. Every person involved made a meaningful difference to the day and helped bring a sense of comfort at such a tough time.

We are so grateful to Claire and the entire team for their warmth and care. They helped make a very difficult day as good as it could possibly be. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

What an amazing company from start to finish especially your lady in the Belvedere office Kelly she made us feel so comfortable and relaxed at a very very difficult time she literally took the stress away in an instant.
Kelly kept in contact with me at every single stage which just took the worry away and I just knew that my father's funeral would be an amazing send off. My dad was a larger man so we knew his coffin would be quite big but Kelly and the team made him shine on the day and for that I'm so very grateful.
My mum died in 2016 and I did ask Kelly if we could mix their ashes together she didn't hesitate she called me when dad was ready and I took mum along Kelly made the process very professional but also so comfortable i really couldn't of asked for a better person to deal with my dad's funeral she is an angel.

She kept us fully informed about what needed to be done and guided us through securing funding, making a difficult time much easier to manage.

The funeral itself was conducted beautifully, and I was especially grateful for Neil Plummer’s contribution. His dedication to getting to know my mother through meetings with us was evident in the heartfelt eulogy he prepared and delivered. His words truly captured her spirit, making the service deeply personal and memorable. I highly recommend Ashdown Funeral Services for their care, attention to detail, and genuine compassion.

From collecting my mother from home to the day of her funeral Ashdown’s at Sidcup gave my mother the best care and respect and me complete support. Claire organised the funeral for me, making sure everything was perfect and was always on hand to answer any questions. Everyone helped us give my mother the funeral she deserved.
