On 11th December, we marked the beginning of our Christmas Memorial Services, and we would like to say a heartfelt well done and thank you to Kelly and Claire at Ashdown for creating such a truly special service.
It was a chilly afternoon in Belvedere, but the Ashdown remembrance tree looked absolutely resplendent — fuller than ever with heartfelt tags. One lady shared how much peace she finds in writing a message to her family, a reminder of just how invaluable these moments of reflection can be.
The celebrant opened the service beautifully before everyone was treated to moving performances from an exceptional vocalist, including O Holy Night and Silent Night. As the music played, families placed more tags on the tree, taking quiet moments together to remember their loved ones.
After the service, guests gathered in the office for tea, cake and mince pies, creating a warm and comforting space to share memories. Attendance was excellent, and many families expressed how grateful they are for the care they receive — praising Kelly and Claire for always going above and beyond.
This was a truly magical start to our memorial services.
